A brief came in from the New York office: create a 2016 Superbowl spot for the new Alfa Romeo Giulia. This car is the world's fastest production sedan around the Nürburgring with a 0-60mph time of an epic 3.8 seconds. 'Unlimited budget' read the brief, but of course we needed an epic idea. This was about as far away from creating a shelf wobbler as you can get. A chance to do something that could make everyone famous. Here's our idea. It got very close to being made, before Fiat Chrysler Global decided to spend the money on Jeep's 75th anniversary instead, with a ho-hum cars and guitars script. But we gave it a red hot crack.
